To fully implement the main responsibility of work safety, effectively respond to multiple safety risks including superior safety inspections, high-temperature operation and typhoon rainstorms, firmly consolidate the company’s work safety defense line, and protect employees’ personal safety and corporate property security, our company recently held a special company-wide work safety meeting. Focusing on three core tasks of inspection preparation, high-temperature safety protection and typhoon flood prevention, the meeting comprehensively deployed key work safety priorities for the next stage and arranged full-scale investigation and rectification of potential safety hazards.

The meeting first announced key safety work arrangements. Central safety authorities will launch a special work safety inspection in Hubei on September 25, conducting unannounced visits and random spot checks on the logistics park where our company is located. The inspection will mainly verify on-site safety management, implementation of hazard rectification and standardized operation of various posts. To fully prepare for the superior inspection and completely eliminate all potential safety hazards, the meeting clarified five key self-inspection and rectification directions for the company, requiring all departments and posts to consolidate safety responsibilities and implement closed-loop rectification for every problem.

First, standardize the management of fire-fighting equipment. Conduct a comprehensive inspection of fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting facilities in factory and operation areas, checking the validity, integrity and placement of all equipment one by one to ensure complete availability, convenient access and fixed placement. Meanwhile, strengthen staff training on the operation of fire-fighting equipment to eliminate problems such as expired, missing, blocked or damaged fire-fighting facilities.

Second, optimize the management of labor protection equipment. Strictly implement the safety helmet wearing specifications for all operators, prohibit taking off helmets or non-standard wearing during operations, and strengthen on-site inspection and supervision. We will make safety protection a normal operation practice and eliminate potential risks such as collisions from the source.

Third, strictly guarantee electricity safety. Carry out thorough inspections of circuits, electrical equipment and switches in production workshops, office areas and warehouses. Rectify irregular wiring, aging circuits and overloaded equipment operation, standardize electricity operation procedures, and prevent all kinds of electrical safety accidents.

Fourth, strengthen gas safety management in the kitchen. Conduct special inspections on gas equipment, pipelines and valves in the staff canteen, check for pipeline aging and air leakage at interfaces, standardize gas operation procedures, and implement regular equipment maintenance to prevent gas leakage, fire and explosion accidents.

Fifth, enforce certificate-based employment for high-risk posts. Strictly implement operation specifications for special high-risk positions such as welding. Fully verify the qualification certificates of on-site operators, firmly prohibit unlicensed and irregular operations, carry out regular safety training for high-risk posts, standardize operation procedures, and avoid construction safety risks.

In view of the ongoing high-temperature weather, the meeting arranged key safety guarantee work for high-temperature operations. All departments are required to reasonably adjust working schedules to avoid high-intensity operations during peak high-temperature periods, fully equip heatstroke prevention supplies, carry out regular heat safety publicity, and closely monitor the physical condition of frontline employees, so as to effectively prevent heatstroke accidents and safety hazards caused by fatigue, and ensure stable work safety in summer.

Meanwhile, according to meteorological early warnings, super typhoon Bavi is expected to affect eastern Hubei from August 11 to 14, bringing strong winds, heavy rains and severe convective weather, which may easily cause equipment damage, falling objects, waterlogging, circuit fire and other hidden dangers. To fully guard against typhoon and rainstorm disasters and eliminate safety risks during employees’ commuting and working hours, the company has decided to arrange a one-week company-wide holiday to avoid potential safety hazards caused by extreme weather.

In addition, the meeting clarified special prevention and control measures for typhoons and rainstorms to further strengthen disaster prevention capacity. First, carry out comprehensive safety self-inspection, overhaul and reinforce outdoor billboards, loose windows and exterior facilities of the factory, and clean up drainage ditches and pipelines in a timely manner to eliminate waterlogging and falling object hazards. Second, strictly implement power-off management rules, cut off all non-essential power supplies in operation and office areas after work every day to prevent electric leakage and fires triggered by typhoons and rainstorms. Third, strengthen the management and protection of valuable equipment and materials, advance the transfer, covering and protection of supplies to minimize property losses caused by extreme weather.

Safety is no trivial matter, and prevention precedes all risks. This special safety meeting further refined the company’s work safety management standards and consolidated safety responsibilities for all staff.
